Покрасочная камера для тракторов

Spray booth Archives - Page 9 of 11 - Techservice WEKO LLC

Painting complex designed for applying and drying paintwork on the surface of parts and components of agricultural machinery. This complex was developed and manufactured by us specifically for Belotserkovmaz LLC, in 2013.
Initially, it was assumed that the complex would consist of four chambers arranged sequentially, one after the other, two chambers are intended for applying a protective paint and varnish coating, and two for drying it, but the second stage of creation, namely the creation of the third and fourth chambers, was transferred to a later one term, and then in the country, another crisis came.

1. Design and principle of operation
1.1. The chamber of the complex is made of metal insulating sandwich panels with fireproof filler, and a galvanic two-layer polymer coating, consisting of a zinc layer 275 mg / m2 thick. The panels are resistant to high temperatures (up to 180 °C). The chamber has two working zones: 1 ventilation zone and 2-zone of final drying. The zones have one common wall in which sliding doors are mounted for direct placement of products in the dryer from the ventilation zone and three-wing swing gates in each zone of the complex.
1.2. The lighting of the ventilation zone of the complex consists of six hermetic fluorescent lamps mounted on the ceiling structure. The lighting of the drying zone consists of four ceiling dual fluorescent lamps, which are mounted on the ceiling of the drying zone.
1.3. Ceiling filters made of non-combustible material. High-quality air filtration is ensured by specially designed filter frames that have excellent peripheral sealing. Ceiling frames are designed and manufactured easily removable, which makes it possible to make quick filter changes.
1.4. A fume hood with dry filters is located in the center of the right wall-ventilation zone and is designed as a separate unit installed inside the cabin. The FH provides the removal of exhaust air from the ventilation zone, with the help of an axial fan and its cleaning from the remnants of paints and varnishes by filtering with two degrees of filters: I – a labyrinth type cardboard filter, II – synthetic fibreglass filter. The air from the drying zone is removed by the ventilation unit, it is mounted outside the room on a special site, using air channels (air ducts are not included in the delivery package).
1.5. Thermo-ventilation cabinet (TVC), located on the back of the complex. Each TVC is equipped with a centrifugal fan with a constant air flow, which provides sufficient air exchange in each working area during the operation of the complex to ensure maximum safety of personnel.
The TVС in the painting chamber provides air intake from the atmosphere and its purification using pocket filters, air is heated to a predetermined temperature using a heat exchanger made of heat-resistant steel and a diesel burner, and its subsequent supply through the space and fine filters installed in ceiling structures in the chamber of the complex.
The drying chamber (DCH) provides air circulation inside the drying zone. Air heating is carried out using a heat exchanger with metal-ceramic thick-film heaters.
The air temperature at the outlet of each heat exchanger is controlled by a temperature sensor, which turns off the heating if this temperature reaches 105 ± 5 °C.

Work on the painting chambers for wagons began in March 2011, and by July 2012, installation and commissioning were completed. The complex was installed in the plant’s workshop in Kryvyi Rih on a special foundation base with integrated air ducts for exhaust air and a service pit, allowing painting of the wagons’ undersides.

Over six years of operation (until 2018), the drying chamber for large-scale equipment has performed flawlessly, requiring only scheduled maintenance (replacement of filters, drive belts) and minor repairs to heat exchangers and ventilation units. TWEKO fulfills all contractual obligations, providing prompt service support for the equipment.

Equipment

The painting and drying complex, designed as equipment for painting railway transport, consists of two sequentially connected sealed chambers with total dimensions of 36,000 × 5,000 × 6,000 mm, intended for applying and drying coatings on freight wagons or other large-scale items within these dimensions.

Main components of the booth:

  • Walls and ceiling: 80 mm thick sandwich panels with fire-resistant filling (mineral wool), galvanized coating (zinc 275 g/m²), and a polymer layer (0.55 mm), resistant to temperatures up to 180°C and high humidity. This allows the painting chambers to be used even outdoors.
  • Suspended plenum ceiling: Made of metal profiles, equipped with fire-resistant ceiling filters with high-quality sealing. The frame design ensures easy filter replacement, crucial for drying chambers.
  • Filter cassettes: Vertically positioned in the foundation base under floor grates, capturing paint mist and particles, preventing filter contamination from pit debris.
  • Gates and doors: Insulated roller gates measuring 4,000 × 4,500 mm with viewing windows, and three insulated service doors with “anti-panic” locks for safe operation.
  • Lighting: Four rows of fluorescent lights (two upper rows at a 45° angle to the ceiling, two side rows), providing at least 1,000 lux for precise quality control of painting. The lights have IP65 protection, ideal for painting chambers for wagons.

Thermo-Ventilation System for Drying Chambers of Large-Scale Equipment

The complex is equipped with four supply and two dual exhaust thermo-ventilation cabinets (TVCs), which provide air purification, heating, and supply, as well as exhaust air removal. Air exchange is at least 200 cycles/hour in painting mode and 50 cycles/hour in drying mode, complying with EU occupational safety standards for railway transport painting equipment.

Each TVC includes:

  • A centrifugal fan with an electric motor, with a capacity of up to 40,000 m³/h.
  • A heat exchanger made of fire-resistant steel with an NG 350 CIB Unigas gas burner for energy-efficient heating.
  • Supply, exhaust, and recirculation dampers with electric actuators.
  • A pocket-type pre-filter for air purification before delivery to the plenum.

The temperature is adjustable from 16–24°C in painting mode and 20–70°C in drying mode, ensuring high-quality airflow and drying of wagons in the drying chamber for large-scale equipment.

Control Panel

The automation system includes pressure, temperature, and airflow sensors, counters, and regulators that coordinate the operation of all chamber components. The control panel can be equipped with frequency converters to optimize airflow, enhancing the energy efficiency of painting chambers.

Technological Features

The complex provides a full cycle of pneumatic coating application and drying in the painting chamber for wagons. The chamber is installed on a foundation base with a pit, allowing painting of the wagons’ undersides. The energy-efficient design minimizes costs in drying mode, while sealing and filtration protect against dust, ensuring high-quality coatings for railway transport.

Advantages

  1. Unique dual design for simultaneous processing of two wagons in the painting chamber.
  2. Energy efficiency due to gas burners and air recirculation.
  3. High painting quality thanks to sealing and powerful lighting.
