аэротехника окрасочная камера

Spray booth Archives - Page 7 of 11 - Techservice WEKO LLC

At the end of 2016, representatives of Aerotechnika contacted us with the task of supplying a spray booth for the products of the Customer. One of the main features of this project is that the thermal ventilation group of the chamber is used as an additional room heater. Thanks to carefully thought-out systems of air channels, gate devices with pneumatic drives and automation, warm air can be redirected from the chamber to the room.

One of the difficulties in implementing this project was the restriction on the height of the room – 4680 mm, and in the chamber it was necessary to ensure the possibility of painting products with a height of up to 4560 mm. To solve this problem, we proposed first of all to create a recess of the platform on which the camera is mounted at -300mm, which in combination with flat wheels on the products allows you to import radar installations that the customer makes into the camera. The distance to the booth of the spray booth and the overlapping of the paint shop was only ~ 50 mm.

This camera has an internal size of 15x6x4.7 m (LxWxH). The thermo-ventilation group of the chamber consists of two powerful supply and exhaust thermo-ventilation cabinets, each of which has one centrifugal double-sided ventilation unit with electric motors of 15 kW for air intake and 11 kW for air exhaust. The productivity of each thermal ventilation cabinet is up to 30,000 cubic meters per hour.

Spray booth has an internal partition that allows you to divide the internal space into 2 equal parts. The entire complex of equipment is controlled through a central control panel with automation and control systems, which allows you to use each of the two halves of the spray booth as a separate independent camera, or to simultaneously heat up the paint shop and work in the camera.

The paint shop has a post for preparing for painting and priming oversized products, which has 2 exhaust ventilation hoods with dry two-level air filtration.

PAINTING CHAMBER FOR CARS – MPM MOTORS COMPANY

Spray booth Archives - Page 7 of 11 - Techservice WEKO LLC

In 2016, representatives of the MPM Motors company, which are engaged in the production of sports cars in the suburbs of Paris, approached us with a request for the reconstruction of the existing painting area. Previously purchased and installed equipment from China suppliers did not meet the high requirements for the quality of the paintwork.
The first stage of the reconstruction was the modernization of the existing painting chamber. We supplied a set of equipment to improve ventilation and air filtration systems, a set of wall and ceiling lamps, as well as service doors. This set of equipment made it possible to create the necessary air exchange and ensure an acceptable air velocity in the working area, at the level of 0.2 m / s, and also significantly improve the quality of air purification in the chamber and lighting in the working area.
The second stage in the reconstruction of the painting area was the development, manufacture and supply of a new painting and drying chamber for automobiles. This chamber has an internal size of 9 x 6 x 4 meters, it is installed on the existing floor of the paint shop without foundation work using a metal podium, which allows you to remove the exhaust air according to the scheme “top-to-bottom”. The whole-grating steel floor provides a straight-line and even distribution of air flows throughout the chamber, which allows to achieve the best quality paintwork on products.
The thermal ventilation group consists of two supply and exhaust thermal ventilation cabinets with electric heat exchangers. Four powerful centrifugal ventilation units, with a capacity of up to 30 thousand cubic meters per hour each, provide a constant and uniform air flow inside the chamber, with an air velocity of at least 0.3 m / s. Electric heat exchangers consume from 22 to 90 kW / h of electricity and heat the entire volume of supplied air to the required delta of 35 °C (“delta” is the difference in air temperature between the inlet to the heat exchanger and the exit to the working area), thus providing optimal conditions for application paints and varnishes at an external temperature of air to -15 °C.
The delivered set of work equipment allowed to increase the productivity of the painting area by more than three times and to ensure the proper quality of the paintwork for automobile production.

Paint booth project. Designed and implemented for LLC “Olis,” the largest agricultural machinery manufacturer. Its production facilities are located in the city of Odesa.

This booth is equipped with a two-level exhaust air filtration system. The first level consists of cardboard labyrinth filters with high accumulation capacity, capturing most of the paint materials. The second level features fiberglass filters with an EU3 filtration class. In this configuration, the accumulation capacity increases significantly, and the number of paint particles in the exhaust air is reduced by 35–40%. The main advantage, however, is that the lifespan of the fiberglass filters is tripled, while overall expenses for exhaust filtration materials decrease by 30%.

Design Features of Paint Booths

A key feature of our paint booth is the transport system integrated into the ceiling structure. A monorail is embedded in the center of the booth’s ceiling, allowing painted items to be suspended and freely rotated around their axis. The maximum allowable load for this monorail is 1000 kg, but at the customer’s request, this capacity can be increased multiple times, and up to three monorails can be arranged in parallel within the booth.

The booth’s thermal ventilation system consists of two supply and exhaust cabinets with a capacity of up to 56 m³/h. Air heating is provided by our proprietary electric heat exchangers, each with a maximum power consumption of 84 kW/h. In nominal mode, at an ambient temperature of around 0°C, consumption is approximately 45 kW/h.

Modernization of the painting chamber of the belotserkovmaz company

bc modernizatsiya okrasochnogo complexa dlya selhoztehniki 4

Spray booth Archives - Page 7 of 11 - Techservice WEKO LLC

The modernization of the painting chamber for agricultural machinery, aimed at equipping it with an active floor, begins with our designers calculating the size of the floor air ducts or determining the required pit depth for a specific chamber configuration. Based on these calculations, a technical specification is developed, detailing the exhaust channels’ shape, depth, and cross-section of the air ducts. Sometimes, the existing ducts prior to modernization are insufficient for the efficient operation of the new active floor. We also evaluate the calculated power and performance of the existing exhaust hood to determine if it can handle its new tasks.

Customized Floor Modernization for Every Customer

Every floor modernization is tailored individually to the customer’s needs. We consider all nuances in designing this type of exhaust system, including:

  • Number, Depth, and Location of Exhaust Ducts: If large objects are placed in the center of your painting chamber, a design with two exhaust ducts on the sides is ideal. For multiple parts spread across the chamber, a shallower pit covering the entire active floor area is more suitable.
  • Direction of Floor Grates: The grate orientation is crucial. If trolleys or supports with small wheels are used, they can get stuck in the grates. The grate direction should be perpendicular to the trolley’s route to prevent this.
  • Additional Exhaust Equipment or Modernization: For the active floor to function optimally, an exhaust system capable of removing paint particles and spray mist from a large filter surface is required, overcoming filter resistance.
  • Additional Supply Equipment or Modernization: With an active floor, extraction becomes more productive, requiring upgrades to supply equipment. Without this, chamber pressure may drop. To stabilize pressure and enhance air exchange, we replace the intake fan and, if needed, the inlet cabinet motor.

Benefits of an Active Paint Floor

The active paint floor efficiently removes mist from materials like paint, primer, and varnish. Its primary goal is to prevent mist from rising to the painter’s respiratory level, instead absorbing it directly into the floor. This results in cleaner, higher-quality paint coatings and safer working conditions, boosting painter efficiency.

Modernizing your paint chamber floor provides an exhaust hood that ensures safe working conditions and superior work quality.

Active Paint Floor for Garage Use

The active paint floor can also serve as an exhaust hood for a painting chamber in your garage. For a modest cost, you get a solution comparable to professional spray booth hoods. To achieve this, we calculate the fresh air plenum to deliver air into your garage painting chamber and determine the desired air exchange rate.

Spray booth Archives - Page 7 of 11 - Techservice WEKO LLC

In 2015, we received a request to develop a complex of painting equipment and abrasive blasting equipment for large-scale metal products. The complex was designed to provide a full cycle of preparation for painting — cleaning from scale, rust, and other contaminants, as well as subsequent application and drying of paint coatings. We proposed equipping the painting area with an abrasive blasting chamber featuring systems for automatic shot collection, shot regeneration, and dust removal — a filter-ventilation unit.

About the Client

The Republic of the Union of Myanmar is a country that approached TWEKO with a need for a modern solution for processing large-scale metal products.

Project Objectives

The goal was to provide a complete cycle of preparation and painting of metal products, including cleaning from scale, rust, and other contaminants, as well as applying and drying paint coatings.

TWEKO’s Solution

To ensure an efficient process for applying and drying paint coatings, as well as cleaning products prior to painting, TWEKO’s specialists implemented a comprehensive solution that includes a painting chamber, an abrasive blasting chamber, and self-propelled rail carts with hydraulic lifts. This equipment enables a streamlined production line with optimized movement of products between cleaning, painting, and drying zones.

  • Painting and Drying Chamber. The painting chamber has internal dimensions of 12×6×5 m, and the drying chamber measures 10×4×4.3 m, allowing for high-quality paint coating application and efficient drying with minimal energy consumption. The drying chamber is equipped with two thermal-ventilation units with high-efficiency ventilation systems, each with a capacity of up to 25,000 m³. Air heating is provided by electric heat exchangers with a total power consumption of 45–135 kW/h. The painting chamber is equipped with two supply thermal-ventilation units and one double exhaust ventilation unit, providing an airflow of 70,000 m³/h. Air heating is performed by two electric heat exchangers with a total consumption of 60–180 kW/h. Both chambers are equipped with air preparation systems with multi-stage filtration (EU5), which, together with the supply and heating systems, ensure intensive and uniform airflow of clean, heated air at a specified temperature, creating an optimal microclimate for applying and drying paint coatings.

  • Abrasive Blasting Chamber. The abrasive blasting chamber has internal dimensions of 12.5×6×5 m. The cabin is made of a steel frame with galvanized steel panels, and the inner surface is lined with a protective rubber sheet to prevent shot ricochet toward the operator and chamber deformation. The shot collection system is implemented as an automatic scraper floor, which collects shot across the entire chamber area and feeds it to the regeneration system. The regeneration system lifts the shot using a bucket elevator to a height of up to 6 meters, cleans it of large particles and dust, and then feeds the cleaned shot into a storage hopper connected to the abrasive blasting apparatus. This creates a closed-loop shot circulation system, significantly improving cleaning efficiency.

  • Self-Propelled Rail Carts. During the project implementation, a requirement was added to the technical specifications for moving products between chambers and lifting products within the chambers for painting the underside. To meet this, TWEKO designed and manufactured self-propelled rail carts with integrated hydraulic lifts. The carts have dimensions of 6×2 m and can transport products weighing up to 10 tons between the painting, drying, and abrasive blasting chambers. They are explosion-proof, equipped with low-voltage motor-reducers powered by batteries. Two of the five carts feature a hydraulic lift, allowing the product to be raised up to 2 meters, providing convenient access to the underside for painting.

Implementation Process

The request from the Republic of the Union of Myanmar was received in 2015, reflecting the need for a comprehensive solution for preparing and painting large-scale metal products. TWEKO conducted a detailed analysis of the technical requirements, including specifics of scale and rust cleaning, as well as requirements for coating application and drying. Based on this analysis, a complex of equipment was developed, including an abrasive blasting chamber (12.5×6×5 m) with a shot regeneration system, a painting chamber (12×6×5 m), a drying chamber (10×4×4.3 m), and self-propelled carts (6×2 m) with hydraulic lifts. The implementation accounted for the explosion-proof design of the carts, automated ventilation systems, and electric heat exchangers for air heating. The project was completed in 2015, ensuring the complex was commissioned in accordance with the stated requirements.

Results for the Client

  • Complete cycle of preparation and painting of large-scale metal products weighing up to 10 tons.
  • Energy savings due to efficient recirculation and heating systems.
  • Enhanced safety and productivity through automated systems and explosion-proof equipment.

TVС provides an air exchange rate of at least 200 times/hour in the painting mode and at least 50 times/hour in the drying mode, which ensures uniform blowing and quick drying of the painted product, as well as acceptable conditions for the operator to work during painting (comply with EU labor protection standards). TVС has three gate devices: a supply, discharge and recirculation gate, which direct air flows in accordance with the selected chamber operation mode. The thermal ventilation cabinet uses a heat exchanger made of heat-resistant steel with a diesel burner with thermal power of 300 kW as a heat-generating installation.
The control panel (СР) with automation and control systems sets the modes and algorithms of the equipment: painting-blowing-drying. Management of all chamber nodes is carried out using one central CP, it controls and coordinates the operation of all camera nodes for trucks.
