KFC Container Spray Booth for an Industrial Enterprise | TWEKO

TWEKO manufactured a container spray booth from the new KFC series for setting up a dedicated painting area at an industrial enterprise. The 10,000 × 1,800 × 2,200 mm working zone is integrated into a single module together with the supply ventilation, air heating and filtration systems. The ventilation system provides an airflow capacity of up to 20,000 m³/h. The containerized design reduces the amount of construction work required on site and, if necessary, allows the equipment to be relocated to another production area. The booth incorporates preliminary and fine filtration of supply air, dry filtration of paint overspray and automated control of the main systems.

Proposed Solution

For this project, TWEKO manufactured a KFC series container spray booth, one of the first completed installations of the new series. The key feature of the KFC series is the integration of the working zone and the main process equipment within a single containerized unit. This solution makes it possible to set up a dedicated painting area without constructing a full-scale permanent building and, if required, relocate the booth to another production site.

The working zone is integrated into an elongated housing together with a technical compartment containing the supply ventilation system, heat exchanger and heating system. The internal working-zone dimensions are 10,000 × 1,800 × 2,200 mm, ventilation capacity is up to 20,000 m³/h, and total power consumption is up to 18 kW. Air heating is provided by a UNIGAS diesel burner, with an internal booth temperature of up to +30 °C.

The booth airflow system is designed to supply clean, heated air to the working zone. Atmospheric air first passes through a pre-filter, after which the supply fan directs it through the heat exchanger. The heated air then passes through fine ceiling filters and is distributed evenly throughout the painting zone.

Exhaust air containing paint overspray particles passes through a dry filtration system consisting of a labyrinth cardboard filter and a fiberglass filter.

After filtration, the air is discharged outside by four exhaust fans. This configuration maintains the required airflow while reducing the release of paint aerosol beyond the working zone.

Another advantage of the containerized design is the compact integration of the main systems into a single housing. The customer receives a ready-to-use painting area that is easier to commission, maintain and, when required, relocate to another site.

In this project, the KFC container booth made it possible to move the painting process into a separate technological module that is not permanently tied to a specific building. This format is particularly suitable for companies that require rapid deployment of a painting area, compact integration of the main systems and the option to relocate the equipment together with the production process to another site in the future.
