Mabo LLC is the official representative of the Italian factory Mabo SPA in Ukraine, operating in the light industry market since 1952. Established in 2007 in Kyiv, the company specializes in supplying high-quality sewing accessories, including branded buttons, belt buckles, clothing snaps, and other accessories. Project Objectives
The project aimed to create efficient conditions for painting buttons at Mabo LLC’s production facility in Kyiv. The main requirements included:
- Development of a custom extraction booth with a two-stage filtration system for paint mist removal.
- Ensuring clean air in the work area for high-quality coating application.
- Compact design with restrictive wings for operator convenience.
- Integration of a rotary stand to optimize the painting process.
TWEKO’s Solution: Custom Extraction Booth
TWEKO developed a tailored solution for Mabo LLC, which included:
- Extraction Booth. A metal cabinet measuring 1800×1000×1000 mm, made from profile angles and tubes, clad with sheet metal. The extraction zone (1000×800 mm) is equipped with restrictive wings to capture paint mist.
- Two-Stage Filtration System. The first stage is a cardboard labyrinth filter that captures most paint vapors, preventing direct paint contact with the second stage—a fiberglass filter (EU3 class, 95% filtration efficiency). The filters are mounted in special frames with peripheral sealing for easy replacement.
- Rotary Stand. A table with a 500 mm diameter rotary stand to optimize the painting process and increase productivity.
- Extraction Ventilation System. A powerful centrifugal fan with an electric motor, delivering 2500 m³/h, mounted on a vibration-absorbing frame to reduce vibrations and noise.
The set is complemented by necessary fasteners, mounting elements, and seals for reliable operation.
Project Implementation
The request from Mabo LLC was received in 2014. TWEKO prepared a commercial proposal, taking into account the requirements for paint mist removal and the specifics of the production facility in Kyiv. After site measurements, a custom extraction booth was designed. Component manufacturing was completed on time, and the installation and setup of the equipment were carried out in August 2014 according to the schedule, allowing the booth to be commissioned without delays.
