Spray Booth for the Charity Organization - Techservice WEKO LLC

In February 2025, the charitable organization “Future Development Agency Charitable Fund” announced a tender under the veteran business support program “Live to Meet” to equip a production space with a modern painting and drying chamber for veteran businesses. TWEKO emerged as the winner, offering a painting chamber from the AKFS Standart series — a solution that ensures high-quality painting of specialized equipment and large items, optimal ventilation, and safe working conditions, fostering the development of veteran enterprises and creating jobs for veterans. The project was successfully completed in April 2025.

Project Objective

The tender’s goal under the “Live to Meet” program was to equip the workspace of a veteran business with a modern painting and drying chamber for high-quality painting of specialized equipment and large items. TWEKO proposed the KFS.000.00.00-ENERGY model from the AKFS-S-9 series, which meets requirements for performance, safety, and versatility. A key feature of the project was the client’s inability to prepare a foundation due to time constraints, prompting TWEKO to develop custom podium blueprints for installing the chamber on a flat floor.

Painting Chamber AKFS-S-9: Key Technical Specifications

  • External dimensions: 8.7×5.8×3.5 m, internal working zone dimensions: 8.6×4.5×3 m.
  • Airflow capacity: 27,000 m³/h, ensuring effective ventilation.
  • Air temperature: adjustable in the range of 16–80 ºC for optimal painting and drying.
  • Ventilation unit power: supply — 11 kW, exhaust — 7.5 kW.
  • Thermal power: diesel burner — 115–310 kW, gas burner — 95–300 kW.
  • Entry gates: roller, 3000×2800 mm; personnel doors: 650×2000 mm, ensuring convenient access.
  • Maximum floor grate load: 600 kg/wheel, ideal for specialized equipment.
  • Power supply: 3-phase, 380 V, 50 Hz, total power consumption — 18.8 kW.

Project Implementation

Work began in March 2025 after the visualization and technical specifications were approved. Due to the lack of a prepared foundation, the TWEKO team developed custom podium blueprints and prepared a complete set of design documentation: blueprints for the ventilation unit block, heat exchanger, burner, roller gate frame, ceiling, KFS cabin, and filtration cassettes.

Within a month — by mid-April — the equipment was shipped, and the installation of the painting equipment began immediately. By the end of April 2025, the main chamber structures were assembled, and the lighting was installed and connected. The equipment was handed over to the client fully assembled with a functioning lighting system.

Installation and Logistics Features

  1. Custom solutions: TWEKO developed podium blueprints for installing the chamber with roller gates on a flat floor, accommodating the client’s foundation constraints.
  2. Logistics: equipment delivery was at the client’s expense, while TWEKO handled the installation. The client provided accommodation and meals for the installation team.

Benefits for the Client

  • High-quality painting: the AKFS-S-9 chamber ensures uniform coating thanks to powerful ventilation (27,000 m³/h) and adjustable temperature (16–80 ºC).
  • Versatile use: roller gates (3000×2800 mm) and the chamber’s design allow for handling large specialized equipment, with the option to relocate adding flexibility.
  • Support for veteran businesses: modern equipment helps veterans develop their businesses, create jobs, and reintegrate into civilian life.
