In 2015, PJSC “Khersonoblenergo” approached TWEKO to improve working conditions for operators during the application of lacquer coatings on metal structures of power plants and electrical networks. The TWEKO team designed and installed a painting chamber adapted for open conditions, completed in December 2015.
About the Client
PJSC “Khersonoblenergo” is a leading energy company in Ukraine, located in Kherson. The company provides electricity to the region, including maintenance and repair of metal structures for power plants and networks, requiring high safety and coating quality standards.
Project Task
The goal was to create acceptable working conditions for operators during the application of lacquer coatings on various metal structures. Key requirements included:
- Ensuring safe working conditions in open spaces.
- Effective extraction and air recirculation to minimize the impact of lacquer spray.
- Consideration of the specifics of working with large-scale structures for power plants and networks.
Solution from TWEKO
TWEKO developed a painting chamber, specifically adapted for operation in open spaces:
- Painting Chamber. The chamber’s internal dimensions are 6×4×2.7 m, allowing the processing of large metal structures. It is equipped with insulated side channels for air extraction and recirculation, ensuring stable working conditions. Air heating is powered by electricity, meeting the company’s needs.
The equipment was installed separately in an open space, considering the specific operational requirements of power plants and networks.
Implementation Process
The request from PJSC “Khersonoblenergo” was received in 2014. TWEKO conducted an analysis of the site conditions and designed a painting chamber adapted for open spaces. The process accounted for the need for insulated air channels and electric heating. The project was completed in December 2014, ensuring timely commissioning of the chamber.
Results for the Client
- Creation of safe and comfortable working conditions for operators due to effective extraction and air recirculation.
- Ability to process large metal structures in a chamber measuring 6×4×2.7 m.
- Reliable operation of the equipment in open spaces thanks to insulation and electric heating.
