Mobile painting and drying booths of the MKFS series are designed for the application and drying of primers, paints, enamels and varnishes on large products — machine parts, steel structures and industrial equipment — where floor space is limited. The key feature of the series is the retractable enclosure: when folded, it takes up minimal space, and two workers can extend it manually in 2–3 minutes without special equipment.
Products are loaded into the working zone by overhead crane, forklift or trolley. The air-handling and heating unit maintains temperatures of up to 60 °C, so painting and drying take place in the same booth, accelerating drying and eliminating the need to transfer products to a separate drying area.
The enclosure is a retractable portal-type structure made of steel tubes and angles, covered with wear-resistant, non-combustible fabric and mounted on wheels. The fixed rear wall is made of sandwich panels, and the air-handling and heating unit is permanently installed at the end of the booth. When folded, the enclosure frees up floor space for other operations.
Pneumatically actuated supply, exhaust and recirculation dampers switch between operating modes, and their positions are monitored from the control panel.
Supply and exhaust ventilation keeps the working zone under positive pressure, which helps prevent dust and workshop contaminants from entering, so painted surfaces stay clean. Paint overspray is removed and captured by the exhaust ventilation and filtration system. A uniform airflow provides comfortable working conditions for the painter and helps accelerate coating drying.
Exhaust air passes through two-stage dry filtration with a separation efficiency of at least 95 % (class EU4): cardboard labyrinth filters with a paint-holding capacity of up to 16 kg/m² and synthetic fibreglass PaintStop filters.
Supply and exhaust dampers are open and recirculation is closed, providing continuous air renewal.
For 10–15 minutes, solvent vapours are removed while airflow and temperature remain at spraying-mode levels.
The control panel automatically reduces the supply and exhaust dampers to about 10 % opening. This provides enough fresh air to prevent a hazardous vapour concentration, while heated air recirculates to save energy.
After drying, the booth automatically reopens supply and exhaust and closes recirculation to cool the product and the working zone.
If required, the booth is manufactured to the customer’s individual technical specification. As options, it can be supplemented with an airflow control system based on variable-frequency drives (up to 40% reduction in power consumption), a pneumatic painting equipment kit, an activated carbon exhaust-air treatment unit and a rail transfer cart for moving products between work areas.
